Ingredients
Scale
12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
12 ounces milk chocolate chips
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon butter
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Place both types of chocolate chips and the butter into a small slow cooker (Crockpot).
Pour the heavy cream over the chocolate and butter.
Set the slow cooker to low heat. Do not stir immediately.
Allow the mixture to heat for about 30 minutes until the edges begin to melt.
Stir the mixture slowly until it is completely smooth and creamy.
Stir in the vanilla extract and the pinch of salt.
Keep the fondue on the ‘Warm’ setting for serving. Stir occasionally.
Serve immediately with your favorite dippers.
Notes
For a Melting Pot copycat flavor, substitute 1/4 cup of the heavy cream with 1/4 cup of evaporated milk and add 1 teaspoon of peanut butter.
If using a stovetop, use a double boiler to melt the ingredients slowly, stirring constantly.
Keep the heat low to prevent the chocolate from seizing or burning.
