Make melt-in-your-mouth tender and juicy steak bites with minimal effort using your slow cooker. This easy crockpot dinner uses simple ingredients for a flavorful weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the cubed sirloin steak into the basin of your slow cooker.
  2. Drizzle the olive oil over the steak cubes.
  3. Sprinkle the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder evenly over the steak. Toss gently to coat the meat.
  4. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the seasoned steak. Stir everything together lightly.
  5. Place the pieces of butter on top of the steak mixture.
  6. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours, or on HIGH for 2 to 3 hours, until the steak is very tender.
  7. Stir the steak bites before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.
  8. Serve these juicy steak cubes over mashed potatoes or rice for a complete meal.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can quickly sear the steak cubes in a hot skillet for 1-2 minutes per side before adding them to the slow cooker. This step is optional but adds depth.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, remove the steak during the last 30 minutes of cooking, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water, and stir the slurry into the liquid in the crockpot. Cook on HIGH until thickened.
  • This recipe works well for a savory slow cooker beef appetizer or a main course.
