Ingredients
Scale
4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 lemon, cut into wedges for serving
Instructions
Pat the salmon fillets dry using paper towels. This step helps achieve a crispier exterior.
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, salt, and pepper.
Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over the top (flesh side) of each salmon fillet.
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
Place the salmon fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not overlap.
Air fry for 10 to 14 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets and your desired doneness. Thicker fillets will require closer to 14 minutes.
Check for doneness; the salmon should flake easily with a fork and reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
Remove the salmon from the air fryer and serve immediately with fresh lemon wedges.
Notes
For extra crispy skin, place the salmon skin-side down first and cook for 8 minutes before flipping for the last 2-4 minutes.
If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, use 1 teaspoon of garlic powder instead of fresh minced garlic.
This recipe works well for meal prep; store cooked salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
